The Jersey Cape is surrounded on three sides by water: the Atlantic Ocean to the east and south, and the Delaware Bay to the west. This unique geography provides a growing season that is longer than almost anywhere else on the east coast by almost ten days. The ocean breeze both cools the grapes in the summer and prevents extreme temperatures in the winter, spring, and fall. These conditions bless the Jersey Cape with a microclimate that is ideal for wine grapes.
